Used commonly in new construction and the monitoring of existing welds, this ultrasonics course would be beneficial to technicians in any industry that needs to identify flaws in welds, including engineering, refineries, mining, vehicle maintenance and manufacturing, equipment manufacturing and more.
Course Prerequisites
- High school arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry skills.
- Familiarity with the calibration and set up of Ultrasonic Sets.
- Industry experience and knowledge of welding techniques, weld configurations and testing.
Learning Outcome
Upon completion of this course, you have the foundational knowledge to be able to apply ultrasonics testing techniques to welds, in compliance with AS 2207 or equivalent. You will be able to confidently conduct tests on welding configurations including plates, pipes and T joints. You will be eligible to become level two AINDT qualified.
