ATTAR was established to conduct materials testing and research
using the most technically advanced equipment available.
Our current range of specialised testing services are:

Monitoring pressure vessels, pipelines, structures, fibre composites,
welding, etc.

Powerline Corrosion Monitoring
Zinc loss from
the central steel core of overhead pois detected in ACSR/GZ conductors with the
additional benefit of determining Aluminium cladding loss from the
strands in the steel core of ACSR/AC conductor.
Transmission line corrosion surveys offer significant data to aid an Asset Manager
make safe and cost effective decisions, in a risk based asset replacement program.
The Over Head Line Corrosion Detector (OHLCD) has been used by ATTAR for
over 15 years, where live-line capability was field-tested by
ATTAR. Adding to the range of test equipment offered, the latest
CCAS (Conductor Corrosion Assessment System) is now used on most
current projects.
The
CCAS and OHLCD can be used on either energised or de-energised
conductors using a variety of methods. The images below show
some of the common methods used.
