RADIATION SAFETY
(Radiographic Users License Course)
 


Purpose:
To provide learners with knowledge of the principles of industrial radiographic testing, and to gain a detailed understanding of the hazards and safety procedures that must be applied when using X-ray and gamma ray equipment.

The training provided on this course is accepted by the following states for licensing requirements:

  • Victoria
  • South Australia
  • Queensland
  • New South Wales
  • Western Australia

The training and examination provided on this course is accepted by the following states for licensing requirements:

  • Victoria
  • South Australia
  • Queensland
  • New South Wales

(For Western Australia, we are able to provide you with an appropriate examination supplied and accessed by the WA Radiological Council.)

Course Hours:
40 Hours (5 days)

Nil

Prerequisite:
LL&N
Maths (Algebra)

Note: A large percentage of the course syllabus is based around the use of mathematics, in particular Algebra. Current skills in at least Yr 10 maths is required.

Exams:
General Exam (Closed Book)
20 Multiple Exam Questions
20 Short Answer Questions
Pass Mark 70%

What To Bring:
Sturdy Footwear (No open toed shoes)
Non-Programmable Scientific calculator
