GENERAL OVERVIEW
Start Times: Unless
otherwise noted all courses commence at 7.30am.
Finish Times: 3.30pm
- 4.00pm
Routine:
The training generally involves theory in the morning and
practical
in the afternoon.
Assignments:
Candidates are supplied with nightly assignments for
completion for the
following day. The assignments are used as a revison and
reinforcement
tool. Assignment results do not contribute to AS3998
Assessment.
Exams/ Where applicable exams are conducted at the completion of the
course, Assessments usually practical on Thursday afternoon and theory Friday
afternoon.
Results:
Results are issued by mail, within 14 days of completion of
course.
Note: ATTAR reserves the right to hold exam results until
payment of fees.
Resit Exams:
Resit exam fees apply.
A candidate who fails to obtain the pass grade required for
certification
may be re-examined provided that the re-examinations take
place not
sooner than 30 days after a previous examination and not later
than five
years after the original examination.

ATTAR runs training courses in the following non-destructive
testing techniques and related subjects:
Courses
Introduction ATTAR is a private
Engineering Training & Consulting company established since
1985. As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and an AINDT
Authorised Qualifying Body, ATTAR is an Industry leader
providing Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Training, including
customised courses and specialised Level 3 services.
Dual System of Training and
Assessment ATTAR is both a Registered Training
Organisation (RTO) and an AINDT Qualifying Body (AQB).
This means that ATTAR may train and assess in accordance with
two systems: · Australian
Qualifications Framework (AQF) & Australian Quality Training
Framework (AQTF) and
· Australian Standards: AS3998 / AS3669 / AS4635
and ISO 9712 While the Training Course content for both systems is
the similar, the manner in which evidence of competency and
assessment are conducted is different. It is important
to note that a Student may successfully complete an ATTAR
Training Course in accordance with AQF, however may fail to
successfully complete the course in accordance with AS3998.
Successful completion of ATTAR Training Courses may be
used as a pathway to: · Complete
other qualifications, such as Certificate/s in the Australian
Qualifications
Framework (AQF); and · AINDT
Certification in accordance with Australian Standard: AS3998
/ ISO9712

Customised in-house training courses are also
available for specific inspections, such as use of magnetic
particle benches, yokes, fluorescent liquid penetrant
inspection.
Advanced NDT training is available for specialised
applications.


HOW TO ENROL
Confirm Vacancies
Ring ATTAR to confirm there are vacancies on your selected
course.
Send Enrolment
Form
Fax, email (training@attar.com.au)
or mail your fully completed enrolment form & payment
details.
Places on each course are limited so enrolments are processed in
order of receipt until each course is full.
Verbal enrolments will not be accepted.
Confirmation of Enrolment
ATTAR will confirm enrolments by fax, email or letter.
Confirmation of Enrolment Notices includes details on Course
Location, Training Hours & Equipment Required.

Students are required to supply a copy of their Confirmation of
Enrolment Notice and Photo ID during registration on Day 1 of
the Course.
What If I Need To Withdraw From A Course?
Cancellation and Transfer policy (Summary):
A full refund of fees will only be
provided where a cancellation or transfer request is received in
writing at least 14 days prior to course commencement;
Any cancellations or transfer requests
received less than 14 days prior to course commencement will
result in forfeiture of $250.00 as an Administration fee with
the balance of fees to be transferred to a future course
scheduled within 1 year of the original course dates.
Any request for refund must be made in
writing using the ATTAR Special Consideration Form.
Where a student withdraws from a course
with insufficient notice (less than 14 days) ATTAR reserves
the right to refuse any future enrolment that is not
accompanied by full course payment.
